2023 Summit
17th Annual YouthCAN Climate & Sustainability Youth Summit: Do you sea us? : Focusing on both the positive and negative impacts of the internet and, more specifically, social media on cliamte organizing
We highlighted the immense impact of social media on the climate justice movement, through the spread of information, and misinformation, that is far more accessible right now than it ever has been before. Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter allow young people to become informed on important issues, but the limited scope of information shared can also perpetuate climate anxiety and grief.

2022 Summit
16th Annual YouthCAN Climate & Sustainability Youth Summit: Intersectionality: Fighting back against disproportionate impacts!
We highlighted the disproportionate impact of climate change on environmental justice communities, indigenous communities, and communities of color through interactive workshops, art, and speakers. Our society is polluting the air, getting rid of green space, and limiting access to food and water justice. Much of the damage is being done by those who are least affected by these issues, including politicians, fossil fuel CEOs and huge corporations. We must not only be aware of these issues but also work as a community, with the voices of those most hurt lifted up, to combat them.
