BLS YouthCAN Goes to Washington D.C.!
BLS YouthCAN recently received two awards from the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project!
We are proud to be named as NEED's 2018 Massachusetts Senior School of the Year and the National Senior School of the Year for our work in promoting energy education in our school, community, and beyond.
From June 22 to June 25, 2018, sixteen BLS YouthCAN students flew to Washington, D.C. to attend NEED's Youth Energy and Awards Conference. While in D.C., we participated in NEED's energy activities, visited various museums, toured the National Mall, went on a dinner cruise on the Potomac River, and even attended meetings in our legislators' offices on Capitol Hill. Overall, we had a great time and learned a lot from our fellow youth energy educators.
